The challenge:
Evolving a Fitness Startup
In 2018, Big Vision undertook the task of refreshing the brand identity of Omni Fight Club. Upon joining the agency in 2019, I was appointed to lead the design responsibilities for the agency's largest retainer client. Although the challenge of designing for a modern fitness brand startup wasn't immediately evident. Our marketing efforts were primarily geared towards increasing brand awareness and acquiring new members. It became apparent that the design language of OFC needed to evolve in tandem with these objectives, to meet the demands of national franchise expansion.
The solution:
A Community Rooted in Grit
Our agency developed the 2020 We Prevail campaign as a rally cry for a fitness brand that was eager convert both the fitness curious and fitness-seeker veterans into OFC evangelist. We did this through; online & in-person community engagement, club-focused flash sale campaigns, tasteful merchandise offerings, and more. The campaign design direction was rooted in the grit we need to prevail daily. By creating a custom We Prevail wordmark, utilizing rips and grain textures with eye-catching composition layouts, and high-contrast images. We were able to develop a campaign which produced positive results in club memberships and elevated a fitness brand to stand alone.
